Einstein, I say.

"Imagination is more important than knowledge."

It's inevitable. We grow up quickly. It's hard to keep the innocence we had as a child, and even harder to see it in the world after it has been lost. We have a lot thrown at us at an early age, and we are only expected to make mistakes. As painful as mistakes are when they happen, they only collect and years later formulate into something called experience, they are life's way of teaching you. No one wins them all, and the failures you encounter are just a part of your growth.

Communication is an essential part of life. It is one of the first and most important things we will learn, the funny thing is that once we are all grown up, and learn our words and really start to talk, the harder it becomes to know what to say or how to ask for what we really need. When choosing your life-long better half base your choice on communication. For what it's worth after all the heated passion and physical attraction as gone away, you're stuck talking to each other, and hopefully your partner can talk back. It's best to wait for the one you want then to settle for the one that is available.

We hopefully know what love is, how it feels and how to love back. People do different things to avoid love, or rather avoid being hurt. Many will self-destruct every relationship they begin to feel something in, so that they won't get hurt. Truth is in the long run they are just hurting themselves. Love makes you vulnerable which is a scary position to be in. It opens your chest and your heart so that someone can get inside you and do what they want. The ones that you love the most are usually the ones that will hurt you the most, and unfortunately this can only be learned though experience. There's no use in trying to stop your feelings, because they, without fail, will overpower you every time. The best things in life don't come with out a struggle. Love is one amongst them. There will come a time when we need to stop loving someone not because that person has stopped loving us, but because we have found out that they'd be happier if we let go. It's the greatest weakness of most humans to hesitate to tell others how much they love them while they are still alive, so let down your guard and love unconditionally.

We cherish our friends not for their ability to amuse us, but instead for ours to amuse them. We seek in others what we long for the most, acceptance. Friendship is a comfort, an inexpressible comfort of feeling safe with a person, with no need to weigh thoughts or measure words but instead pouring them out just as they are. Good and bad alike, we take it upon our friend to take them together, sift through them, keep what is worth keeping and with a breath of comfort blow the rest away. It's hard to find friends worth keeping, friends that you want to be around even when you feel being by yourself. When you have a friend that needs your hand, don't annoy and waste time by asking if there is anything you can do. Instead, think up something appropriate and do it, it's the little unremembered acts of kindness and love that are the best parts of a person's life.

Life can only be lived through the challenges we face, the changes we see and hopefully embrace and the eternal strive for happiness. Don't spend your days trying to change others, consider how hard it is to change yourself and you'll understand what little chance you have in trying to change those around you. Whenever you make a mistake, or get knocked down by life, don't look back on it too long. Mistakes are life's way of teaching you. It's necessary for you to watch and learn from other's mistakes. You won't live long enough to make them all for yourself.

Never give up on anyone you care about, its one thing to use your head to handle yourself, but quite the other to handle other's using your heart. You're going to get hurt, you're going to get let down, and you're going to feel hopeless at some point in your life. Pick yourself up, dust yourself off. Some people bear all three kinds of trouble; all they have had, all they have now and all they expect to have. Try to never bear more then one kind at a time, and life might get a little easier.

You can only hope to laugh as much as you cry, and try to love somebody and have the courage to accept the love in return. The trick is to realize that after giving your best, there isn't anything more to give. Hopefully giving your best will be returned to you in the future, believe it or not, karma still exists. Try always to be happy, as difficult as it may seem at times. It's true that when one door of happiness closes, another opens, we often look so long at the closed door that we do not see that one that has opened for us, take a minute to find your open doors. Nothing prevents happiness more then the memory of happiness.

The strongest people are not those who always win but those who get back up when they fall. Somehow along the course of this thing called life you learn about yourself and realize there should never be regrets. Just a lifelong appreciation of the choices you have made. Life is about not knowing, having to change, taking a moment and making the best of it without knowing what is going to happen next. Delicious ambiguity.

To "Anonymous" (although you already told me who you are):

What a remarkable collection of insights. "Nothing prevents happiness more then the memory of happiness." That quote knocked me out of the water.

You are really great, I know it!
